Henry schafer purchased this chevy on may 18, 1956 from hille chevrolet in ritzville, washington. He drove the car until 1968 when he offered it to his grandson. His grandson loved the car, but didn't use it much if not at all. He moved to lagrande oregon in 1980 and brought the chevy with him. The car continued to relax inside in the eastern oregon dry weather until 2005 when a complete frame off, rotisserie restoration was completed. After all of these years, the car traveled just 55,193 miles. So, here we now have an iconic chevrolet, single family owned, 55,193 original mile car, complete professional restoration with about 2000 miles on it. Quality throughout, excellent driving, original low mile, one family owned. Just a good investment all around.

It would make sense to just say completely restored, but as we all know, that means different things to different people. Let me be clear, this '51 chevy truck has been taken down to the absolute bare frame, every component on the rust free frame, cab, floors, bed, etc has been addressed. That is to say, every component on this truck has been restored, rebuilt, replaced, painted, plated, powder-coated and cleaned. It is truly a new 1951 chevy truck. The truck has been restored about 10 years and has only traveled 136 miles. The truck was finished in its original color of fathom green, but was upgraded to a base/coat, clear/coat with a very subtle gold pin-striping around the entire cab. This theme was very tastefully carried out to the original powder-coated wheels. The interior was finished off in a bronze/copper color that include the dash, the jams and the doors. The door panels and head liner match this paint as well and adds a nice touch of class to this wonderful truck. The rebuilt 235 starts up so easily, i almost think is doesn't need a starter. :') the rebuilt transmission shifts nice and easy, and the rebuilt brake system works great! The bed is clean and undamaged and has new oak wood planks and color matched bed strips. All of the glass is new as is the weather stripping and felts. This truck has been upgraded to a 12 volt electrical system which just adds a more user friendly, and drive-ability factor to the truck. In addition to the new wiring system, some of the other nice upgrades include an electric wiper system, a cool looking, nicely functioning heater system, seat belts to accommodate three in the cab and a period correct turn signal system.

Although not documented as there is no build sheet or original window sticker to corroborate the facts, this Camaro does have all of the traits of a true SS/RS. The engine and transmission are not original to the car, but both have been rebuilt, and function properly. The R/S headlights, the deluxe interior with full console and gauges, the correct hood, stripes, brakes, and gauges, all point to the origin of this car. This Camaro drives nice down the road, shifts easily, and sounds great! The Matador red base/clear paint shines very deeply, and was the original color for this car. The black deluxe interior looks all business, and with those bucket seats, console, and that 4 speed stick jutting out from the console, this Camaro has a strong performance look even in the interior. The correct hood treatment, the SS gas cap, and the freshly powder-coated Rally wheels and Red-line tires, the exterior of this SS/RS certainly looks like the High performance street machine that Chevrolet intended all those years ago. The trunk compartment is clean and solid too. This is a very nice Camaro SS/RS with a small block and a 4 speed that makes this Camaro super fun to drive, grabs looks everywhere it goes, and has the right High Performance image we all look for in a classic Car. What a cool chevelle!! I could probably write a novel on this car with all of the details that this chevelle contains. The bottom line is: a favorite streamline 60's body style, coupled with high performance that this car couldn't have imagined back in 1969. Built by chuck hanson and joe elmore on the spike television show “horsepower tv”, this car was among several high quality builds that those guys performed using updated technology, quality name brand high performance components, installed and tested in their showcase shop with an arsenal of tools any mechanic on most any level would envy. The heart of the chevelle begins with a gm performance 502 cid 4 bolt main block, loaded with domed aluminum pistons, heavy duty rods, and iskenderian full roller cam, topped with edelbrock performance rpm heads with 2. 19 intake and 1. 88 exhaust valves, bds 8-71 supercharger, and fuel injection plate with 16-30lb. Injectors, all fully polished including the blower hat. The tci street-fighter turbo 400 transmission transfers all of the 713 horsepower through the aluminum drive-shaft to the 12 bolt spooled rear differential. This chevelle is bullet proof! Make no mistake, this is a fully capable street driven chevelle. There is some nicely placed high-tech, user friendly equipment on board too, such as the fuel injection management system, as well as the new, original style interior that's comfortable, and familiar. Although powerful, this chevelle handles all of it's high performance characteristics with only 7 lbs. Of boost, and on pump premium! The hood was routed to accommodate the blown/injected big block, and looks very tasteful. The car's stance looks aggressive with a nice forward angle, and the wheels and tires fit the car well. There's some nice documentation that accompanies the cars as well as a dvd of the actual broadcast of horsepower tv showcasing th.

Pepper's lonely heart's club band, and some of the most iconic muscle cars were rolling out of the american factories with performance to match their aggressive looks. This particular chevelle has obviously not only been treated well all of it's life as evidenced by it's overall cleanliness and integrity, but this car has been treated to some very well placed performance and durability upgrades. The 396/325 hp starts and runs excellent. The muncie 4 speed shifts nicely with it's new hurst shift linkage. This malibu drives nice and tight, brakes well, and doesn't have any unusual squeaks or rattles. The mountain green paint has been on the car for nearly ten years, and although it has a few minor chips here and there, it shows very well, and has a nice deep shine. I see no evidence of any rust bubbling through the paint either. All of the trim looks good, and the chrome bumpers include the bumper guards both front and rear. All of the lights (including 2 original t-3 headlights) work, the turn signals, the heater, the wipers, and the gauges all function properly. This chevelle was originally a white car with a black vinyl top, it had a 283 cid engine with a 2 speed power-glide automatic transmission. Now, with it's 396 and smooth shifting 4 speed, it not only cruises nicely down the road, and has some nice performance as well. The stark black interior is all business with it's nicely reupholstered seats, new carpet and headliner, nice dash and door panels, and windows that roll up and down easily. A great year in america... And a year of some of the greatest cars ever built! Westcoastcollectorcars. Com.

Now this is an attention getter! 1955 chevy post, meticulously built with progressive thought and care that will stand out from the crowd where ever it goes. And i want to point out something about this chevy that's almost as important as its amazing performance. This particular 210 has been on several road trips, taking it through several states, several times! This chevy drives absolutely amazing. The car was not only built to pull hard on the straights, but it steers, and brakes nice and true. The frame is clean and solid as well as the floor pans and rocker areas. The body is very clean as well, and the fit and finish is truly excellent. The fiberglass hood with the 4. 5” cowl induction scoop aligns up nicely too. The engine has been rebuilt and has about 7k miles on it. Some of the important specs are a lunati voo doo roller cam and roller rockers, world merlin single plane intake manifold, patriot aluminum heads, 950 holley carb, electronic ignition, and jet hot coated headers. The drive train has been built to withstand the punishment the engine can dish out too. This gasser has a nice vintage air air conditioning system, heater system, and it will not overheat, even in the hottest of temperatures. The interior is very comfortable, and as mentioned before, this chevy is very, very reliable. All of the gauges and all of the lights work, and there are no strange noises emanating from anywhere. This car steers easily even in parking lot situations. Nice vibrant paint, excellent running, strong engine with accommodating drive train, air conditioning, comfortable interior with old school gasser style, that's truly usable and reliable. The frame, floor pans and body are nice and solid, save for some rust in the usual cab corner areas. Not bad, but it is there. This original '54 starts, runs and drives very nicely, and it shifts nicely too. The clutch works great, and the transmission is smooth. This truck can be used and driven just the way it is. The possibilities are endless really. Items that don't work on the truck are, the wipers, the fuel gauge, and, although the heater system is intact, the blower does not work. The doors open and close nicely and are aligned well, and the windows roll up and down well. The interior metal door panels are missing, but all of these items mentioned are things that can be found either on the internet or a swap meet. The bed has a new forward panel, and the floor is currently finished in diamond plate steel, but bed wood kits are available if someone wanted to put an original style floor, or even a more exotic wood planking in the bed. I generally don't sell projects unless i deem them a worthy value for someone, and this truck would make an excellent, fun, and really a fairly easy, usable project. Westcoastcollectorcars.
